Radhanagar Beach, Andaman and Nicobar Islands,

Bestowed with the precious award of ‘Asia’s best beach’ by Time Magazine, Radha Nagar Beach situated 12kms from Havelock’s ferry pier is undoubtedly one of the beat beaches of Andaman Islands.

Fine white sand, turquoise blue waters and a lot of peace and serenity are the hallmark of this beautiful landmass.

Sand like talcum, semi circular beach. Nice for a swim. Go there an hour before sunset. The most beautiful sunset you'll see with the ocean lights up in various shades

Unlike most of the beaches on Havelock Island that only have a number, Radhanagar has a name and is the most beautiful spot on the island.

Rent a bike to ride to the beach and enjoy the pristine surroundings.

Be amazed by the white sands and clean waters as you hit the sea for a swim. There are no water sports allowed says a traveller who visited it recently but swimming is permitted between 8am and 4pm.

The sun sets at 5pm so remember to carry a torch light if you want to stay after sunset.

Best time to go: November - April

Lighthouse Beach, Kovalam Kerala

The southernmost beach, the Lighthouse Beach is the one most frequented by tourists, Lighthouse Beach got its name due to the old Vizhinjam Lighthouse located on a rocky promontory here.

Its intermittent beams at night render the beach with an unearthly charm. Kovalam was among the most prominent tourist spots in India during the hippy era in the Sixties.

It still has a high status among tourists, who arrive mostly from Europe and Israel.
